It's James Bond Movie Day

original print date, October 23 2002

.....
...................Paul Ryan

Hooray! It's James Bond movie day! Paul is over-stimulated by popular media, meaning he bought a seven-pack of James Bond movies (including special features and an extra disc with a documentary about 007's gadgets), the new Foo Fighters CD (which is incredibly rockin', and contains a bonus DVD with videos, extra audio and other random spaz junk) and two six packs of beer (Heineken and Sam Adams).

Naturally, such a combination is worthy of a day off and a celebration. What would the column be like if Paul tried to write it? Simply put, it would be spaz junk. Unfunny spaz junk, at that.

But fret not, surly reader, for Paul has left behind a column from the newspaper–which employs him–for you to read. As has been said before, such columns are tame in comparison to what you'll find on this website. Today's is somewhat serious, but still lighthearted and deliciously flavorful, if such an adjective phrase exists.

So read the HCN column, go out and rent a James Bond movie* and relax. You're worth it.**

*Don't know which Bond movies to rent? Here's some of Paul's recommendations:

-From Russia With Love
-You Only Live Twice
-Goldeneye
-Goldfinger
-Tomorrow Never Dies

Bond-related movies to stay away from:

-Moonraker
-A View To A Kill
-Anything that says, "Starring Timothy Dalton" on the box
-Anything that says, "Starring George Lazenby" on the box
-James Bondage: The Gay Buttplug Adventures

**You're not really worth it. Paul's just saying that to make you feel better about only getting half a humor column today.

Okay, enough already. Here's the HCN column: HCN Column 4.

Still not satisfied? Then come to Paul's apartment and partake in James Bond movies and Foo Fighter albums with him. Just e-mail him and let him know you're coming, so he can buy more Smirnoff.
